TDA Terms & Conditions

Acceptance of Terms
The services that the Toronto Dental Academy (TDA) ® provides all individuals and parties are
subject to the following terms and conditions which may be updated without prior notice at the
discretion of the Toronto Dental Academy ®. All TDA registrants and applicants are required to
have read, understood and agree with the terms and conditions in order to avail our services,
products and courses.

No Unlawful or Prohibited Use
As a condition of your use of the Toronto Dental Academy (TDA) ® services and website, you
warrant that you will not use the Toronto Dental Academy (TDA) ® services or website for any
purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these terms, conditions and notices. You may not use
the Toronto Dental Academy (TDA) ® services or website in any manner which could damage,
disable, overburden, or impair the Toronto Dental Academy (TDA) ® services or website or
interfere with other party’s use of the Toronto Dental Academy (TDA) ® services or website. You
may not obtain or attempt to obtain any materials or information through any means not
intentionally made available or provided for through the Toronto Dental Academy (TDA) ®
services, website, or staff.

Electronic Communications
You consent to receive electronic communications and agree that all agreements, notices,
disclosures and other communications that we provide to you electronically, via email and on the
site, satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. You may choose to
opt out of email communication at any time by contacting us via email.

Use of Services
Upon completion of payment of the course fees and upon confirmation of registration, you are
permitted to participate in all offered sessions of the course in which you are enrolled for the
length of that course as stated by the Toronto Dental Academy (TDA) ®

You agree that as a registrant in a course, service, or product offered by the Toronto Dental
Academy (TDA) ®, you will not, under any circumstance, defame, harass, threaten, stalk, or
otherwise violate the legal rights, status, reputation, or standing of any other TDA registrant, any
TDA doctor, instructor, or staff, or the Toronto Dental Academy (TDA) ®. This agreement
extends to all communications you are involved in on any medium or platform, including but not
limited to web based platforms such as social media websites and applications, forums, and all
others.

The Toronto Dental Academy (TDA) ® within its discretion, reserves the right at any and all
times to disclose any and all information it deems necessary and appropriate in order to satisfy
any applicable law, regulation, legal proceeding, process, or governmental request. It also

reserves the right to edit, refuse to post, and to remove any materials or information, in part or as
a whole.

Cellphones and/or all external/unauthorized electronic devices are to be placed on silent
mode and away at all times during the sessions.

All participants must use headphones/earphones at all times during the session. No
earphones/headphones, no participation.

All participants must have their cameras turned on and centered on them at all times during the
session. If an unauthorized participant is detected, the violator will be subject to immediate
dismissal with zero refund.  

Video and/or Audio recording of the sessions are strictly prohibited at all times. Violators will be
subject to immediate dismissal with zero refund.

If a participant is late for the session, the missed time will not be compensated for in any form.

Missed sessions will not be compensated for in any form. If attendance is not possible due
to exceptional circumstances, 24 hours notice is required and the TDA Administrative team must
be informed prior to the start of the session. If the TDA Administration is not informed in due
time, no considerations will be made.

Course Fees
Advertised course fees are subject to change without prior notice (without impacting students
currently registered)

Withdrawal & Other service fees
Withdrawal up to one week prior to the start of the course/service - 25% of the course fee
Withdrawal up to one day prior to the start of the course/service - 40% of the course fee
Withdrawal within 24 hours of or after the start of the course/service – 100% of the course fee

"Withdrawal & Other service fees" are subject to limitations and exceptions including but not limited to advanced lecture access,  special promotional pricing, goodwill, and others.

*TDA Document Review Services are not subject to refunds under any circumstances once the service has commenced.

Photograph and video release
You hereby grant permission to the rights of your image, likeness and sound of your voice as
recorded on audio video tape without payment or any other consideration. You understand that
your image may be edited, copied, exhibited, published or distributed and waive the right to
inspect or approve the finished product wherein likeness appears. Additionally, you waive any
right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of your image or recording.
You also understand that this material may be used in diverse educational settings within an
unrestricted geographic area.

Photographic, audio or video recordings may be used for the following purposes:

• Educational videos

• Websites and social media

• Conferences/presentations

• Promotional content

By entering this agreement, you acknowledge that you have completely read and fully
understand the above release and agree to be bound thereby. There is no time limit on the
validity of this release nor is there any geographic limitation on where these materials may be
distributed.

Confidentiality Clause
Please be advised that special arrangements or modified registrations/payment arrangement
due to circumstances deemed unusual, as well as any direct communication with any staff
member(s) of the Toronto Dental Academy (TDA) ®, are governed by a strict confidentiality rule.
Disclosure of any such correspondence may result in administrative or legal repercussions,
including voiding of the arrangement/accommodation or registration in questions.

All contents of the Toronto Dental Academy (TDA) ® are Copyright 2020. All rights reserved.
The names of actual companies and products mentioned herein may be the trademarks of their
respective owners.

All course materials are solely for personal use of registered participants. It is strictly prohibited
to transmit, reproduce, sell or distribute any course materials in any form or by any means.
Violators may be subject to legal action and/or penalties.

All course materials are electronic and cannot be printed, reproduced, or distributed in any manner. 

TDA reserves the right to update or amend terms and conditions at any time and without any
notice.

Code of Conduct
All TDA registrants and participants are required, at all times without exception, to act with
professionalism, ethics, morality, and dignity. As well, they are required to show respect and
courtesy towards all other TDA registrants, participants, staff, instructors, and any other parties
affiliated with the Toronto Dental Academy (TDA) ®. Offensive or abusive language or
behaviour, of any sort or form, will never be tolerated and may, upon the discretion of the
Toronto Dental Academy (TDA) ®, result in the immediate dismissal of the registrant or
participant from the course, service, or product without any refund or reimbursement.
